Yesterday, many of us learned of the sad passing of Actress Diane Ladd, on Monday, November 3, 2025.
Diane was known for a number of films and series, but to Christmas fans, she was the mother in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and to Hallmark fans, she was the grandmother, Nell O’Brien, on Chesapeake Shores, a warm, loving presence to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Among her various projects, Diane also starred in the remake trilogy of Christy films, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, The Love Boat, Alice, Gunsmoke, and many more. Wow, what a career- spanning many years in the film industry from the 1940s!
