Doechii is closing out 2025 with a new collaboration with SZA, âGirl, Get Up.â

Produced by Jay Versace, âGirl, Get Upâ blends a punchy, stripped-back drum groove â sampled deftly from Birdman and Clipseâs classic, âWhat Happened to That Boyâ â with atmospheric synths. It offers Doechii the perfect platform to ruminate on life and retort the hate. Saying sheâll address the misogyny flung her way on her next album, Doechii continues, âFor now, letâs sink into the fact that hate donât make you powerful/Yâall monitoring spirits, go monitor that checkbook/Fashion week was radical, diamonds what my neck took/Tried to turn the other cheek, but yâall just too damn extra.â

Meanwhile, SZA holds down the song with a simple but infectious hook, crooning, âI be in the back levitating, doing meditation, hear me girl, get up/Taking on all confrontation, fuck a limitation, hear me girl, get up/Somehow I know that Iâll have everything, itâs mine, mine, mine.â

The collab with SZA is also one of a handful of new singles Doechii released this year as she continued to build on the success of her breakthrough Grammy-winning 2024 album, Alligator Bites Never Heal. Her biggest track of 2025 was âAnxiety,â a song originally released in 2019, but re-recorded and reissued earlier this year after it started gaining traction on TikTok. The track helped Doechii earn five Grammy nominations, including Record and Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance and Song, and Best Music Video.

Along with âAnxiety,â Doechii also dropped the solo track âNosebleeds,â and several collaborations, including âExtraLâ with Jennie and âBeat a Bitch Upâ with Alameda.â She also hopped on a remix of the Weeknd and Playboi Cartiâs âTimeless.â
