Renowned musician Eric Clapton has recently become a grandfather once again. The news of this joyful occasion has brought happiness to Clapton and his family.

Eric Clapton has become a grandfather for the third time.

The rock starâs daughter, Ruth Clapton, has welcomed a baby girl with her partner, Peter Greenwood.

Ruth took to her Instagram to share the exciting news.

She posted an adorable picture of the little girl wrapped up in a cardigan and lilac hat.

âCecelia Rose Clapton-Greenwood. Born 6th Jan 9.21am,â she penned.

Ruth is already mum to two sons, aged 12 and nine, with her ex-husband Dean Bartlett, from whom she split in 2020.

She went on to find love with British musician Greenwood in August 2023.

The couple announced they were expecting a child last July with a heartwarming video of Greenwood cradling Ruthâs growing bump, and showing off the ultrasound scans.

âWeâre having a baby! Just over 12 weeks now, due at the end of January 2026. So grateful,â she wrote in the caption.

Clapton secretly fathered Ruth during an affair with studio manager Yvonne Kelly, while he was married to model Pattie Boyd.

Her existence was kept secret from the public until 1991, when she attended the funeral of Claptonâs four-year-old son, Conor, who fell to his death from a window of a New York skyscraper.

In an interview for his MTV special the year after Conorâs tragic death, Clapton acknowledged Ruth, saying, âRuth has been a tremendous support.â
