The alleged secret child of legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury has died. She was 48.

The family of the woman, identified only as Bibi, shared on Thursday that she had died after a battle with cancer, the Daily Mail reports.

She died “peacefully” after a long battle with chordoma, a rare spinal cancer, leaving two sons aged nine and seven, her husband, Thomas, told the outlet.

“B is now with her beloved and loving father in the world of thoughts. Her ashes were scattered to the wind over the Alps,” he added.

Bibi was conceived between Mercury and the wife of one of his friends in 1976 at the height of his career, according to author Lesley-Ann Jones’ biography on the Queen rocker, Love, Freddie, Page Six reports.

Bibi revealed her identity as Mercury’s daughter in the book only months before her death, after having taken a DNA test to confirm the singer as her father.

Mercury died in 1991.

“For 30 years, I had to build my life and family without him and accept that he wouldn’t be there to share the happy moments with us,” she wrote.

Bibi, who worked as a doctor and lived in France, had battled the rare cancer most of her life. She was diagnosed with the disease at a young age before going into remission.

Prior to the release of Love, Freddie, which was released in September, the guarded secret was known only to the late Bohemian Rhapsody star’s nearest and dearest – including his longtime love, Mary Austin, his parents, and his sister – for nearly half a century, the Daily Mail previously reported.
