Pitbull Goes for Gold: Attempting a Guinness World Record
A pitbull named Luna attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the longest jump by a dog during a recent competition. Luna’s impressive leap was measured at over 25 feet, but unfortunately fell short of the current record of 29 feet. Nonetheless, Luna’s incredible athleticism and determination have garnered attention and praise from spectators and fellow competitors. With further training and practice, Luna may have a chance to break the record in the future.
Music News: Pitbull Attempts Guinness World Record
Pitbull plans to attempt a Guinness World Record at his upcoming BST Hyde Park concert in London.
In recent years, fans have turned up to the Give Me Everything rapperâs shows dressed in his likeness, sporting bald caps, aviator sunglasses, black suits and his trademark facial hair.
Now the artist is hoping to turn the viral trend into an official record. At his headline performance in Hyde Park on 10 July, he will attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps.
Festival organisers confirmed the attempt on Tuesday, announcing on Instagram, âItâs official. Letâs make history.â
The post continued, âAfter the idea was championed by @gregjames on @BBCR1, weâre on a mission to secure a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS⢠title for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps and Pitbull needs YOU there in Londonâs Hyde Park on Friday 10 July. Letâs have a real good time!â
The trend first gained momentum around 2021, with fans regularly dressing up as the Hotel Room Service hitmaker for concerts and costume parties.
Speaking previously to the BBC, Pitbull said he was moved by the phenomenon, stating, âEvery time Iâm at a show, I let them know that when you put on a bald cap, I hope youâre ready to have the time of your lives â it feels deeper than just music. Itâs the ultimate trophy to be able to go on stage and see all the hard work that you put into the music.â
Pitbullâs BST Hyde Park appearance follows a run of U.S. dates, including a slot at the Stagecoach Music Festival in California from 24 to 26 April, before further performances across Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Arizona and Utah.
Other artists set to perform at BST Hyde Park this year include Lewis Capaldi, Mumford & Sons, Maroon 5 and Garth Brooks.
