Music News: Celine Dion Preps For Paris Concert

Celine Dion is reportedly preparing to make a major concert comeback in Paris.

The Canadian music icon is said to be planning a return to the stage with a series of shows in the French capital, as she continues to manage Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS).

Speculation intensified on Monday after the names of several of Dionâs hit songs, including My Heart Will Go On and The Power of Love, appeared on posters across the streets of Paris.

The hitmaker appeared to offer a further hint on Monday, posting a series of photographs of herself in Paris over the years.

The live return will follow her widely praised performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she sang a rendition of Ãdith Piafâs Hymne à lâamour from the Eiffel Tower.

The 57-year-old singer has yet to confirm the plans publicly.

Her appearance at the Paris Olympics marked her first live performance since March 2020, and her first in France since her 2017 European tour.

In 2022, Dion cancelled all scheduled shows after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological autoimmune disorder that causes muscle stiffness and can affect mobility and vocal ability.
Before her diagnosis, she had already been forced to postpone performances due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
