Music News: Céline Dion Confirms 10 Paris Shows

Céline Dion has confirmed her return to the stage with a residency in Paris â marking her first live shows since 2022.

The Think Twice hitmaker, who last performed in the French capital for the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony, will play a series of concerts at the 40,000-capacity Paris La Défense Arena between September 12 to October 14.

The run will mark her first since being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome â a rare autoimmune neurological disorder that causes progressive muscle stiffness and painful spasms â four years ago.

After years of battling health challenges, Céline says the love and support sheâs received from her devoted fans has carried her through â and now sheâs âstrongerâ and ready to return to the stage.

Taking to Instagram on her 58th birthday (30.03.26), Céline said in a video: âOver the last few years, every day thatâs gone by, Iâve felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love. Youâve helped me in ways that I canât even describe, and Iâm truly fortunate to have your support.

âIâm feeling good, Iâm strong, Iâm feeling excited â obviously a little nervous â but most of all, Iâm grateful to all of you! I love you all and Iâll see you soon!â

A pre-sale will take place on April 7. Tickets will go on general sale on April 10 at 9am BST.

Teaser posters featuring the singerâs hit songs â including The Power of Love and My Heart Will Go On â recently appeared around Paris, sparking excitement over her long-awaited comeback.

French outlet La Presse reported that she was due to perform multiple nights at Paris La Défense Arena.

Céline was previously due to perform at the venue in 2020, but the concerts were postponed â first due to the Covid-19 pandemic and then again because of her health struggles.

Eventually, she cancelled her Courage World Tour, which had included 42 dates across Europe.

Revealing her SPS diagnosis in an emotional video on Instagram, she told fans: âUnfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way Iâm used to.â She added: âIâm working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to build back my strength and my ability to perform again, but I have to admit itâs been a struggle.

âAll I know is singing. Itâs what Iâve done all my life, and itâs what I love to do the most.â
