Lizzo has responded to online fat-shamers.

The Grammy-winning artist posted on her official Instagram page to address critics who were mocking her body.

âToday I saw a fat joke about me â in 2025 â and it was viral,â she wrote in the caption of a photo of herself in a yellow-and-black snakeskin bikini.

âIt was a dumb joke, and they were just laughing at me because Iâm fat⦠Let me be a reminder to everyone to never let anyone shame you for what you choose to do with your body. Because when youâre big, they talk st; when youâre small, they talk st. Your body will never be good enough for them because itâs not for them. Itâs for you.â

The About Damn Time singer has faced body-shaming trolls throughout her mainstream pop career.

âIf I get a BBL, mind ur business. If I lose 100lbs, mind ur business. If I gain every pound back and then some⦠mind ur f**king business,â she concluded her caption.

âAnyways, my fat ass stays living with a paid-off mortgage in yâall b**ches heads.â

Lizzoâs response to her trolls comes shortly after she made headlines with a Substack essay titled Cancel Me (Again): A âCancelledâ Womanâs Take on Why Everyone Should Get Cancelled at Least Once.

âNot everybody liked my most recent essay, and thatâs exactly why I wrote it,â she shared in a follow-up post.

âI deserve to be able to express myself like everyone else. Iâm human, Iâve earned the right to be wrong, to be prickly and unlikable sometimes. Itâs liberating for a recovering chronic people-pleaser like me. Thank you for your comments and criticisms. I welcome it all.â
