Music News: Madonna Confirms âConfessions ⦠Part IIâ Release
Madonna will drop Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II this summer.Â
The 67-year-old singer-songwriter has delighted fans by revealing she will release her new record on July 3, 2026, after teasing the album since 2023.Â
Madonna dropped a huge hint she was preparing an announcement after clearing her Instagram just days ago.Â
She has since returned to the social media platform with one post to her 20.3 million followers, which simply reads: âConfessions On A Dance Floor: Part II â July 3 2026â
Madonna used the same words for her Instagram bio, after previously changing her bio to âTime goes by so slowlyâ, lyrics from her tune Hung Up.Â
Madonnaâs new song features a nod to her 1985 tune Into the Groove, with the line: âOut here on the dance floor, I feel so free.â
On her Instagram Story, Madonna shared her new, throbbing, synthesised instrumental, over which she sings: âThanks for coming. Sometimes, I like to just hide in the shadows, create a new persona, a different identity.
âI can be whoever I want to be, create a new persona. Honestly I wish I could be like other people and just not care, but out here on the dancefloor I feel so free.â
More than 570,000 people have liked Madonnaâs album release date grid post, including fellow music stars Doechii, Jade Thirlwall and Romy.
Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II will be Madonnaâs 15th studio album, and her first since 2019âs Madame X.
News of Madonnaâs upcoming release comes after she re-signed to Warner Records last September.Â
The Frozen hitmaker spent the first 25 years of her career with the record label and after almost two decades since her departure, she was âhappyâ to have reunited with the company.
She said in a statement: âFrom being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles, it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again and in fact that couldnât have been truer.
âSince the beginning Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.â
The superstar singer shared a series of photos on Instagram, including some of her with a typewriter, and wrote: âAlmost two decades later â And it Feels like home with Warner Records!
âBack to music, Back to the Dance Floor, Back to where it all began! COADF- P. 2 [discoball emoji] 2026 (sic)â.
