RosalÃa will be honoured with the International Songwriter of the Year Award at the Ivor Novello Awards next month.
The Spanish singer-songwriter has been chosen for the honour as her work has made a significant cultural and commercial impact in the U.K. over the past year, according to the announcement.Â
The organisers of the annual British songwriting ceremony praised the Berghain singer for âtranscend(ing) language and genre barriersâ with her ârevelatoryâ 2025 album LUX, which was written in 13 different languages.
âHer songwriting moving fluidly across form, language and genre, creating work that feels both deeply authentic and distinctly original,â they continued.Â
RosalÃa will be presented with the award at the 71st Ivor Novello Awards, also known as The Ivors, on 21 May at Grosvenor House in London.
Charli XCX was honoured with the Songwriter of the Year Award last year.Â
RosalÃa has been on a successful streak since the release of LUX. In February, she won the BRIT Award for International Artist of the Year, and earlier this month, she was named Woman of the Year at the Billboard Latin Women in Music presentation.
